And much better than the six invoked by Acronis True Image. On the bright side, the free version of Reflect spawns only a single background process, down from the three that the pay versions create. Backup generally takes place during off hours or in the background, so we don’t lend performance a lot of weight in our evaluations. That’s about two minutes slower than any of the competition, though CPU usage was minimal. That might be nice, as Reflect Free 6 took just over nine minutes to perform our 115GB system backup. Put in my liniox rescue disk, powered down, and back up, waited for my PC to boot up on the rescue disk, and followed the wizards instructions. I just removed my dead C drive, put a new one in its place, plugged in my USB, where I had saved an image of my C drive. I had yours saved some where, but I can't find it. If the Startup type box is set to Disabled, change it to Automatic. Right-click the Windows Installer service, and then click Properties. I would do that, but that seems to be the only thing I lost in my restoration a few emails. Make sure that the Windows Installer service is started and enabled: Click on Start and type ‘ Services.msc ’ and press ENTER. If you could post those 4 steps you sent me in your email, about building a rescue disk, and using it to restore your back ups, then I will add my two cents.
